BillyHo693 Posted February 19, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2012 We will be in Barbados on the Carnival Victory in mid March. Very excited it is our first time to Barbados. We are doing a beach break but we picked the later time one so we were thinking before that we can walk around and explore the city. We wanted to see the Parliment building and that cool bridge...is it far to get to from teh cruise port? Is it far/safe to walk too? Do you need to take a cab?? Please give me some advice =D
lax19 Posted February 19, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2012 It's about a 30 minute stroll to the bridge. Plenty safe (compared to any big city) as there are lots of people out and about. You will be approached a lot as you leave the port by taxi drivers offering rides and tours. Same with the downtown area (at least that was our experience). Bring a good map and you should have a great time. It is a really cool city.
warmwatersailor Posted February 24, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2012 It's perfectly safe to walk, just remember your sunscrean and a hat.
