More Quebec Cruises in Future?

Recommended Posts

From Montreal, not likely. Only a few ships can make it to Montreal. Princess has three, but hasn't really run the small ships into Montreal in a while. HAL runs one ship. AIDA brings a ship. Crystal brings a ship. And then you have a few VERY small ship lines.

From Quebec City, I don't know if the ships are running full. But my guess is that they aren't likely to put more ships.

Technically, there are no actual round-trip cruises from Montreal, and only one ship - Brilliance of the Seas - doing round-trip cruises from Québec. All others are one-ways, which you can turn into round-trips by booking BTB cruises. And the main problem with these cruises is the airfare - flying into YQB isn't cheap, and doing a one-way complicates matters.

I think they are popular - I know that HAL cruises in the region have always sold well, and at a premium - but as with everything there's a saturation point to the market. It will be interesting to see how the RCI cruises sell, and if they come back in 2013.
