Galveston Taxi Fares

Any one know how expensive it is to taxi around Galveston? We are wondering about perhaps going out for dinner and facing the possibility of taxi-ing to the port from the Inn at the Waterpark given how many cruisers will be staying there. I figure that the shuttle is going to be way over loaded!

Everything is close eventhough you are further out.

Moody Gardens and your hotel are at 81 St. and terminal is at 25 St.

Walk to Moody Gardens Hotel next door for food,

and if you are a walker you can easily walk to Seawall,

where there is fishing pier at 79nd with restaurant on it over water.

Walk up Steward Rd also (motel street) toward 61st for restaurants on Steward Rd and 61st.

Watch for these when you are coming in,

or ask your transportation servive to drive 61st so you can see them.

Probably need to take taxis elsewhere!

Also visit next door

Moody Gardens-www.moodygardens.com GREAT TOUREST DESTINATION

Lone Star Flight Museum - www.lsfm.org wonderful

Thanks so much- just printed this out and put it into my cruise folder. It will come in very very handy! Do you know if the fishingpier over the sea restaurant is decent? That is very appealing.

Have quests that have eaten there, said was good , but I will check out, we live in Galveston
