I'm looking for information regarding helmet diving at Chankanaab park. Can you sign up for the diving the day of at the park? I tried to make online reservations, but the reply said to book through Carnival. The Carnival excursion is at a different location and I really want to visit Chankanaab this trip. Any info would be great!

I'm not sure where online you went to try and make the reservations, but I did a Google search and found this site: http://www.seatrekcozumel.com/ It has a place to make online reservations and also lists a phone number and email. You should be able to call them to find out any info.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Kim! That's where I attempted to make a reservation and was told to book through the ship. I got the same response when I emailed too.

Did you try calling them?

Here are some more links that I found:

Old post here on CC: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1162243

This is through the Discover Cozumel site: http://discovercozumel.com.mx/seatrek.html It gives you no info and if you go to the home page, it will not list the Sea Trek. "Contact" will give you a pop-up where you would leave your contact info... it doesn't give you theirs.

This site here: http://www.cozumel-mexico-tours.com/tour_seatrek.cfm states they are no longer doing the Sea Trek helmet dive, so that may be why you're having trouble finding someone to book it through... it may no longer be offered. When you pull up Chankanaab Park, it doesn't even list it as one of the activities offered.

I'll be cruising in July and have decided to go to Chankanaab, but I'll just do the snorkeling that is included in the admission to the park. Probably not as easy as the Sea Trek, but you have the same view. :)
