dollfan Posted April 21, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted April 21, 2005 I should note also that during the cruise many specials are offered. For instance, I had a "to die for" stone massage by Ted on Thursday night and melted into bed for about $95 for 30 min. If you are Captains Club members there will also be some coupons in your room for a couple of buy one get something free. I think I received a free hand ritual (worth $44) when I booked a manicure. tuggers Posted May 13, 2005 #9 Share Posted May 13, 2005 Yes, it was a flyer in the daily and once it was announced in the noon CD message. If you want it you need to be in the Aqua Spa at 8am to sign up because they go quick. When they announced it on the noon deal I tried to call right away, only got busy signal. Went to Aqua Spa and there were already 5 people in line. This was maybe 5 minutes after it was announced! And ask about the massage oil for free. First one I didn't get it, then next two I had a different person and I did get it.
asylver1 Posted May 13, 2005 #10 Share Posted May 13, 2005 Hi, can anyone tell me if the hot stone massage is the same thing listed in one of the packages, the Aroma Stone Therapy? The Asian Ceremony of Stone is the one I'm interested in, but I'm really hoping it's a massage. Thanks!
AACJ Posted May 14, 2005 #11 Share Posted May 14, 2005 If you are standing in line (with other people behind you) the receptionist at the Aquaspa will lower the rate on some services to get you to schedule an appointment. My wife and I went early to make our appointments, as soon as we got on the ship. There were two or three times available that my wife wanted, she started to think out loud which times would be better and as soon as she said one of the times, the receptionist said, "I can give you a 15.00 discount if you sign up for that time, right now." Of course my wife took it. I did the same thing after I realized what she was doing. And there were only 3 people behind us waiting. It made everyone happy, got us a lower rate on the massages, got us out of the Aquaspa quicker and got the people behind us to the front of the line quicker. art
Eve Posted May 17, 2005 #12 Share Posted May 17, 2005 Just returned from the Summit. On embarkation day I had the worst headache...probably lack of sleep coupled with cheap freebie embarkation champagne. Anyhoo, I booked the Frangipani hair and scalp massage and it was THE BEST! My headache totally disappeared, and I have never had a more relaxing experience. I loved it so much, I tipped the technician $5 extra, and booked another Frangi for later in the cruise. All total, it was $34 for each massage and WELL WORTH IT! A little luxery went a long way.
Julie Jean Posted May 17, 2005 #13 Share Posted May 17, 2005 The cost for a couples massages on your balcony is $160 each. They bring the massage beds down to your cabin. We got them 50% off as I apparently 'won' the daily Aqua Spa draw. I think it was more a case that they were quiet on that day!! Amy2005 Posted June 30, 2005 #16 Share Posted June 30, 2005 Hi- I will be on the Aug. 12 sailing. Can you tell me if I can make appts prior to boarding at the spa? How fast do they fill up? When I was on a Disney cruise in 2001 I had to go to the Spa right away to book. Thanks for the help! Amy:)
