Large group Help....

We will be a large group of 18, 6 will be children. We are interested in finding a tour around the island by land and then maybe a beach break for a hour or so. We just don't want to be left ,and want something affordable. A couple of people that emailed me back quoted me much higher for a large party than what their website has, And the other said they couldn't take that many. Any help would be appreciated. :p

Belize is not an island and you tender into Belize City. You will be let out at tourism village, a somewhat, small, gated area of shops. There are no beaches in Belize and there isn't anything of interest for 6 kids on a city tour in Belize. Belize is very different from the island of, let's say, Cozumel. There are no beach clubs at all. If you really wanted a beach day, you could see if your ship has an excursion to Bannister Island or you could take the 45 minutes water taxi over to Caye Caulker but you won't find a land tour in Caye Caulker.

It is probably best to read over the ship's excursions to give you an idea of what Belize has to offer then go from there in deciding what fits your group. Belize is not an easy port for many because everything worth doing is about an hour away from where you dock. That might be one reason for the high prices. The water taxi to Caye Caulker is 45 minutes one way and this is after the 15 to 20 minute tender ride into Belize. My kids didn't really enjoy all of this travel time.

Thanks so much for the info , really couldn't really decide if we were gonna really get off and try to do a land tour or not. Thanks again for the information.
