Do young ones have to carry a card around ship?

The only time EVERY child (regardless of age) has to have their card is when they are getting off and back on the ship. No exceptions.

They will wear a wristband that has their Muster Station on it if they are 11 years or younger...but it does not have charging privileges.

They will only need their card if they are old enough to charge something OR if they are old enough to go back to the cabin by themselves. (the card is also their room key)

Depends on how old they are, I dont know if they are very little if they would need the card. Ours are 10 and 12 and they wear theirs around their necks on lanyards, they get the bottomless bubbles sticker which is placed on their cards, also stickers from the kids clubs, plus its their room key. All kids under 12 get a green wristband with the muster station location on it.

If they are young like mine (5 and 9) they really only need them to get on and off the ship at ports. I just hold onto them along with my own. If the kids are older and have charging ability or soda card, then a lanyard works great.

Take care,

Beware that if you use the lanyard type holder that has a plastic pouch for the card, it is possible for the card to fall out and be lost. It is much safer to use a lanyard where the card attaches (via a hole punched in it) with a split ring or snap. Cruise Critic sells them in the online store (see link at top of page.)

You can get them for free in the casino (bungie, spring type). I would recommend that you buy the kids one. I always get the type with the hook on the end (not the clip), little more secure.

The casino is not allowed to give kids lanyards. But if you want the casino ones for your kids' S&S card, then you should go to the casino with their cards (don't bring the kids along) and before there are any stickers identifying them as under 18.
