Looks Like There's a Difference Of Opinions How Autotips are Added

one lump sum, which I was added on the second day .

I just got off the Splendor on Feb. 26, 2012 and it was one lump sum on the 2nd day. $80.50 per person for 7 day cruise.

Other cruise lines may do it different, but this is what Canival is doing now.

This is what Carnival has always traditionally done, but some reliable posters are now claiming otherwise.

Ours has always been one lump sum and it shows up on the second day of the cruise. It's never been broken down by days so I'm not sure where the "reliables" are getting their info :) We check our folio through out the cruise.

I actually like seeing it come out right from the start. We always have OBC from owning stock as well as our FCC and often from ES price drops. It's nice to see the money taken out early so we know what's left over :)

Bet they are here soon though to tell everyone youre wrong.

I never look at my bill until the end so I have no clue. why scare myself to see how much I actually drank.

Why would they add it on a daily basis? Does not make sense to me.

actually, from an impact standpoint, it would. most people who don't expect it freak out when they see it in one lump sum.

kinda like those ads that say life insurance is only 35¢ a day, but when they get the annual bill,

Fantasy, Dec. 2011, lump sum, second day of cruise

..... but some reliable posters are now claiming otherwise.

I remind myself -every time I'm on Cruise Critic- just because somebody posts something, that doesn't mean it's true!!! :):)

I don't believe this is an 'opinion' question - it's a fact that the tips are added to your account in a lump sum on the 2nd or 3rd day of the cruise....you can always call Carnival and ask when/how they add on the tips! Not sure what anyone else's opinion has to do withi this?
