3% Visa fee?

Capital One charge cards to not charge any foreign currency exchange fees. I believe myDH used his Discover card on our most recent cruise and they didn't charge the coversion fee, either.

Call your credit card company and ask about the conversion fee before you leave on your trip. In fact, call and tell them there is a possibility that you will be using your card out of the country. They will ask you the dates you will be gone and what countries you are visiting.

 

Citibank told me they have a 3% conversion fee. I have an amex blue. They said as long as the charges are stated in US dollars, there is no conversion fee.
