Looking ahead--flight times out of Hobby

Southwest Airlines won't let me book LAX to Hobby to LAX for December quite yet, but, looking ahead...

They appear to have three nonstops Hobby to LAX:

At 12:50 pm....at 3:30 pm ...and at 8:10 pm...

Each flight is about 3 and a half hours to 3:35...

Arriving in Galveston on a Sunday morning--December 23...

Normally, I'd be tempted to book the 12:50 flight, figuring that is enough time to get off the ship, get to Hobby, and check in...

Of course, a few comments about possible delays in Galveston due to fog have me a bit freaked out...

How likely is this and how long are the delays, typically?

Should I book the 3:30 instead and count on probably sitting around the terminal killing time?
