ilablyth Posted April 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2005 I noticed a couple of travelers who indicated they cruised one-way from Bergen to Kirkenes. I am considering doing the same thing but am unsure how to return to Bergen. Did you do this by train? If so, how was the experience - ease, cost, length, etc. Thanks, Carolyn
gtalum Posted April 25, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2005 You should be able to find some flights to return from Kirkenes to Bergen. Another thing you might consider is returning to the US via Helsinki instead, as we did. You can get a van transfer from the ship in Kirkenes to the airport in Ivalo, Finland. You can then find a very inexpensive 1-stop flight on Finnair to Helsinki.
