East , with the west one being maybe a 15 minute shuttle ride.

Thanks DALSAL, that's good to know. We ended up booking at the San Luis Resort and Spa. The rate was good on Priceline. Any clue if it would be a long walk to get to Queen's bbq? I would love to try some Texan bbq while there.

The San Luis is 5400 Seawall, Queen's Barbecue is at 35th and Ave S. Ave S is 2 short blocks north of Seawall Blvd.

Galveston Island is not very big, so a taxi would not be an expensive trip.
