Current Cruise Directors (CD) List - UPDATED

The rotation has been Ken Rush for 4 months, then Allan Brooks for 2 months. So, if everything stays the same, you can count off on the calendar which one is expected to be on for your sailing. However, that's a big IF, because things can change, and there have already been some wild shake-ups on some of the other ships, so really, it's just a guess.

 

We had Allan Brooks on our Allure cruise at the end of Aug 2011, and he was great. It was a Hurricane Irene affected cruise, so the CD played an important role, both in making sure there were activities to compensate for the altered itinerary, and in keeping the atmopshere light and fun to keep people's minds off the hurricane and how it might be affecting their home and return travel plans.

Although it is possible Paul could take over sooner. It's unusual to switch mid cruise though. Captains do it so I suppose a CD could. I would say it's unlikely that will happen.

Explorer cruisers: Can someone ask Richard when he is leaving the ship, and when Leigh is coming back? (We already know that Richard is due on Freedom on April 14...is he going straight there from EX, or taking a short break in between?)

 

Adventure cruisers: Can someone ask Anthony how long is he staying on the ship? (until Drew comes on in July? Or, will he leave before that, and then there will be another CD in between Anthony and Drew)

 

Allure Cruisers: How long is Ken staying on the ship, and will Allan Brooks be covering his break?

 

Enchantment Cruisers: Is John staying on until Marc takes over in Port Canaveral in June?

 

Independence cruisers: When in March does Joff's break begin, and who will be the next CD?

We need someone on Oasis now to ask Amy when this contract ends, and if/when she expects to return to the ship, to get specific and accurate info.

 

If you'd like, you should post on the roll call for the next Oasis sailing and ask if anyone is willing to find out and report back to us on this thread.

 

In fact, anyone who is looking for specific CD info can do the same! That's absolutely the best source of info, straight from the CD or activities staff on the ship.

Ken Rush usually does 4 months on and 2 months off, so he is due for a break the first or second sailing in May. Allan Brooks usually covers Ken's breaks for 2 months, so early to mid-May until sometime in July. This is a really good guess, because it's been a pretty stable schedule for a while now.

 

Unless something changes...there have been some wild shake-ups on other ships recently, so it's hard to predict.
