mountainhouse Posted May 31, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2004 I looked through the last few days, and didn't see anything. The search function seems down: Are there typically vegetarian options available on board ship? I'm on a low fat diet. For example, can you usually make special requests for baked fish or steamed veggies? I know, I should have started this after the cruise. And, no, unfortunately, skipping the diet for a week is not an option. natalunia Posted May 31, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2004 I noticed on nearly every menu in the main dining room (we didn't eat there every night) there was one vegetarian choice, and always a sugar free and low-fat dessert. I try to eat sugar free because of a family history of diabetes so I was pleasantly surprised. The sugar free desserts were actually really good too. Big Al B. Posted May 31, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2004 I know there was a vegetarian buffet line on the Dawn as well as an entree choice in the dining rooms. I don't know if that is throughout the line though. Statendam-Alaska '97, Veendam-NE/Canada '98, RCCL-Bermuda, '99, Am. gary Posted June 1, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2004 We have been on 5 NCL cruises and they have fantastic vegetarian choices. We let them know that we are vegetarian. They have a menu book for the entire week for dinner just for vegetarians. sometimes we chose vege items from the regular menu and sometimes from the special menu. Breakfast is a no brainer and lunch always has a vege burger option. You will have no problem with NCL.
