Shuttle from Miami Airport to Pier?

We are returning a rental car to the Miami Airport on Sunday, June 12th and hope to catch a shuttle to the Pier from there. Just wondered if anyone had done this, and if so, was it far from the rental car returns? There are six of us, with lots of luggage, so I am hoping a taxi or shuttle can take us all at once. There are taxi vans at the airport that can accommodate lots of people and luggage. They will cost you about $30.00. Much better value than a shuttle. The biggest problem with the shuttle is that you usually have to wait for it to fill up before the dirver leaves. And when you are excited to get to the ship, 20 minutes can seem like 20 hours.

If you are using Alamo they have a free shuttle from the Car hire to the ships.

If you are using Hertz then bring it back to the down town office they also have a shuttle, If you return it to the airport rental office they do not and will have to call a cab, it took ours 35 mins to get there. Dollar also have shuttles from airport to ports and back.
