gunther619 Posted March 15, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2012 I feel like I've seen this twice today? I can't really help you cause I drive in to NYC, but you may find a better response from either the ports of call > east coast board or the per-cruise hotel board. Good Luck! Billzilla66 Posted March 15, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 15, 2012 suggestions for hotels for sailing out of New York Without knowing any details, such as when you want to go and how much you want to spend, I did a little research online, and the hotel closest to the Manhattan terminal is called INK48. I never stayed there, but it looks like a nice hotel for about $400 per night.

Rare steve4031 Posted March 16, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 16, 2012 If you stay near Newark airport you can take AirTran and new jersey transit to new York penn station. And take a can to the port. The Hilton at Newark penn station is connected to the train station by a walkway. It is ok hotel if you can get it for less than 200 per night. There is a forum for east coast ports. That will give you more information.
Catrin Posted March 16, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 16, 2012 I would stay at Times Square the night before and make NYC an adventure of its own! A little more expensive but worth it! Catrin

ekendall2 Posted March 16, 2012 #8 Share Posted March 16, 2012 The millennium broadway hotel is excellent. My wife and I stayed there post cruise two summers ago and loved it. It directly next to the Good Morning America Studio on Times Square. If I remember correctly, our room was about 225 a night. You should be able to find some good rates if you try to book non-refundable. GOOD LUCK!!!!
