leahjade Posted April 25, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2005 I hate wearing my spaghetti strap dresses and then having to put a sweater on top, but then I guess if it's warm, the men will roast in their suits & tuxes!
springtxbill Posted April 25, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2005 A couple of times it has been too warm for a coat, but usually it is ok which means it will be pretty cool for you. :(
superjerryw Posted April 25, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 25, 2005 My wife always complains it's too cold and brings a sweater.
hstrybuf Posted April 25, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2005 I tend to get cold in the dining room unless I'm wearing an outfit with long sleeves. For those nights when I'm wearing shorter sleeves (I look terrible in sleeveless), I take a pashmina/shawl. You can usually find them for about $10 in the ship's store in a variety of colors. PhinsAndGills Posted April 25, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 25, 2005 Take a pretty matching shawl. You may need it, but then again, you may not. I've only used mine a few times. I think it depends on the person and the cruise! :)
frankie&shirley Posted April 25, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 25, 2005 I think it is cold also. I always have to take a shawl to keep my arms covered. This is also the case in the lounges. But then again my DH says I always complain about being cold
wrp96 Posted April 25, 2005 #7 Share Posted April 25, 2005 My best friend is always cold in the dining rooms (but she's always cold when I'm hot so...). I'm usually comfortable, but have been cold once or twice. Carry sweater or a nice shawl (I agree about the pashminas, I have two of them and they work really well as blankets on airplanes as well), and that way you don't have to worry. Firefighterhoop Posted April 25, 2005 #8 Share Posted April 25, 2005 When I've been sheding the coat, and still hot, at the same time some are trying to find anything to keep warm.......
wrighka Posted April 25, 2005 #9 Share Posted April 25, 2005 I froze to death last yr on the Serenade......the dining room was like a meat locker! I had to take a hooded sweatshirt with me every night because my shawl didn't help at all! For my upcoming cruise I've bought a nice sweater....if this doesn't work I'm taking my husbands suit coat!!!!!! Kim P.S. I get cold easily and my table mates weren't cold at all....although two of them were going through menopause! :D
debg66 Posted April 25, 2005 #10 Share Posted April 25, 2005 We just returned home from the Mariner and for once the dining room was not freezing and I am always cold. I didn't even need my shawl once. You can purchase really warm shawls for $10 on boat, comes in all colors which are really handy for this problem. I did find it colder in lounges after dinner. There I definately needed my shawl.
