lcds1 Posted March 30, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2012 I have seen a couple of different price points for mr sanchos. Does AI INCLUDE the water toys- or is it an extra 12.00 charge for that per person? Trying to decide WHERE to go next week!!! Thanks 0)

Crazyp Posted March 30, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 30, 2012 We were there last week.....There were 4 of us....2 adults and 2 children (8 and 11) Paid $45 per Adult for the AI x 2 adults - $90 $25 per child for the AI x 2 children - $50 $12 per child for the Waterpark x 2 children - $24 Total of $164 for the day. Hung out on the beach and ate/drink til we were about to burst!! Kids played at the waterpark and snorkled (not much to see, but kids loved it) We were on the Mariner of the Seas....got to Mr. Sancho's around 9:30am (friends of ours actually arrived around 8:30am...food wasn't quite available, but the beach was opne) Left about 2:30pm headed back to the ship. Worth every penny!!

There were 17 of us and they kept us full and we never went thirsty., which is not easy as we are a hungry and rowdy bunch. I cannot wait to go back. Nadersmom Posted April 2, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 2, 2012 Can anyone tell me if there are umbrellas with the tables on the beach at Mr. Sanchos? While we will spend alot of time on the beach, there is someone in my group who will probably prefer to spend the entire time at a table under an umpbrella. If you pay for the AI, do you get your own table on the beach? I mean, do they reserve you a table for the day or do you have to find your own and you lose it if you leave it for a while? We are trying to decide between here and Nachi.

So, you said you prefer Nachi over Mr Sanchos. Is it the same at Nachi? You are given a table, ect for the day?

What do you mean? Do you feel the food/service is much better at Sanchos? Is it a lot louder/more crowded there?
Coralsugar Posted April 3, 2012 #10 Share Posted April 3, 2012 Are there any umbrellas by loungers? Can we move the table umbrellas over beach chair? Do they provide towels or do you guys bring yours? Are there lockers? Sorry for questions, im just practical.

I've read that Nachi has nicer chairs/tables, ect, while Sanchos has plastic lawn chairs. Again, dont now for sure. I THINK Mr. Sanchos website said that there are lockers available. when re-reading the some of the answers above, i looks like Mr. Sanchos DOES have umbrellas

I have photos of Mr. Sancho's in my Liberty review, in my signature. We brought our own towels from the ship. We didn't need a locker. I believe they do have them though. Coralsugar Posted April 3, 2012 #14 Share Posted April 3, 2012 Ok thanks So towels and umbrellas are not included in AI? Still deciding whether to do AI or not. Heard there is different area for non-AI people so wonder which one is better and nicer. Im not a big eater, might order 1 meal at most and chips, love guac so might end up just ordering chips and guac several times and no meal. Also im very weak drinker, 2-3 drinks are max for me and if they are watered down, even better. But I might get couple of virgin drinks-just to be safe, saw some videos of drunk folks running to catch the ship. But i also like the carelesness of AI. The plastic lawn furniture makes it look cheap.

I LOVE your reviews. I have only gotten partway thru the Liberty review. I'm not even going on the LIberty, I'm going on the Elation in November! LOL But I cannot stop reading your review. I wish all reviews were as complete and full of photos as yours. I'll have to finish the liberty review during my lunch. But you are absolutely awesome with the review thing. And as someone else said earlier, you girls all look positively fabulous in the photos!! Thanks again!!

This time I want to try and get a massage, and maybe do some horseback riding on the beach.

There are lockers that are included. The pay as you go side is very close to the AI part. The main difference is AI pool is very nice (not spectacular). In my opinion, if you are not a big drinker, go pay as you go.

majarosh Posted April 4, 2012 #19 Share Posted April 4, 2012 Liberty of the Seas cruiser here...just returned from the 4 day from FLL to Cozumel...My opinion of Mr. Sanchos..clean friendly and worth it..:D:):).. Since we dont drink it didnt seem realistic for us to do the "all included" side. So we stayed on the pay as you go side. We just wanted to chill on the beach...1 umbrella 20 dollars 10 back for security deposit... Yes there is a ...lets call him the water toy police... yes 12 per person..we didnt do ANYTHING except purchase 2 diet cokes and supplied our own water from the ship. We were the 1st ones on the beach at 9ish. Suggest if you can...get some slip on water shoes as the edge of the water line has a drop off and can be full of coral...tough on the tootsies..we were toast by 2 pm local and we headed back to the ship. We found the folks there excellent and helpfull.... With all the investigations I did Mr. Sanchos was the way to go for us....15 cab ride each way right outside of the shops at the docks. Watch for the "taxi" signs...felt safe and comfortable...

Have a fella in our group who will most likely want to sit at the table under the umbrella all day, but he'll want to be close to us on the beach so this sounds like it would work out ok. I'm not certain what i'm most excited about. Seeing the ocean for the first time, or sampling all of the food.

Besides the fact that you have to pay for drinks and food, was there a big difference in all inclusive vs. pay-as-you-go as far as amenities go (availability of chairs, better beach area, etc.)? Since they separate the two groups, was your "area" worse than all inclusive or pretty much the same? Thanks! :)

I'm not certain what i'm most excited about. Seeing the ocean for the first time, or sampling all of the food. We just came back from 03/25/12 on Carnival Magic & spent the day at Mr. Sanchos. It was $50 pp AI, but if you pay ahead, you can get it for $40 I believe. We really enjoyed it. There were cabana type shelters similar to a bed you could camp out on & take naps too with thatched roof. Everything was close to the water also which was nice, including tables with umbrellas & loungers. There were also trees close that provided some shade. There was about probably 8-10 shops there too where you can buy souvenirs. Some were a little pricey, but they're always willing to negotiate for your business. We didn't try out the pool, but looked relaxing. I agree about the water shoes. There was gravel or tiny shells along the water line too as well as further in where it was rough on your feet. We didn't snorkel here but did go parasailing where they picked us up right from the beach. Just as a precaution, about 8-10 min. is enough to be up in the air. They left us up there about 15 min. & it was windy so we both ended up getting motion sick once we were back on the boat. Still a fun day though.
