tinsel57 Posted May 1, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2004 Ok, I am a little nervous, booked 4/2005 on Infinity Family Suite Deck 9 aft cabin. It seemed like a good deal so I took a chance. Hawaii here I come!! If anyone has experience to share I am all ears. I have never sailed this line nor have we ever been to Hawaii, nor have we ever, it's just the two of us, booked a FV. Seems like a lot of space for just two but I got taken hook line and sinker by the balcony! tinsel57
ghlinger Posted May 1, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2004 We were in 7202 (Dec), will be in 7204 (Jul) & 7206 next Dec. (Hawaii). My DW was in awe when we walked into the cabin. It has a separate sitting area with tv. http://www.geocities.com/mahdnc/Cabinpix.html is a good site to see pictures. There has been much debate if deck 9 cabins would be noisy being under the grill. Honestly no one has been there and given an answer. <img src=http://stop44.tripod.com/_borders/taxman.gif> Jerry
LynnObie Posted May 1, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2004 We booked one of the FV cabins on the Infinity 5/2005 Panama Canal. The balcony is also what really appealed to us after reading CC posts & seeing pictures. If the advanced search ever starts working here again, you can find various posts about the aft cabins. There seems to be differing opinions about the aft cabins on deck 9.... with noise and wafting cigar smoke from the deck just above being complaints by some who have been there and not a bother to others. If this is a concern, you may want to see if deck 7 or 8 FV cabins are available. We chose a deck 7 FV because of posts we read. Whatever you decide, hope you have a wonderful experience! We would love to do a Hawaii cruise also. tinsel57 Posted May 1, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted May 1, 2004 I appreciate the info! Come on with us to Hawaii! There's still room! tinsel57
LynnObie Posted May 2, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 2, 2004 Would love to join your cruise but we will be boarding the Infinity just 2 weeks after you leave. I guess Hawaii will have to be another time for us. If you haven't already read it, you may want to see the "Our Cabin" portion of this Summit review which has some positive things to say about the aft FV on Sky deck 9. As you probably know, the Summit & Infinity are sister ships with the same layout. Lynn Obie
