AA Meetings - Fascination

Sheran

Recommended Posts

We will be on the Fascination in July and 1 person in our group

attends AA Meetings.

She was told that there are AA Meetings held on cruises.

Is this true and if so how do we found out about them?

Thank you

I would like to add that the Bill W meetings can be hit or miss. Sometimes they are well attended, sometimes you are the only one showing up. The meetings are sometimes scheduled at odd times (one of our cruises had a meeting right AT sailaway time!). The schedules don't follow a pattern, so one day you may have a meeting at 4pm, the next 2 days they won't schedule one, but then the following day there will be 2 meetings scheduled...

Tell your cruisemate to bring their own AA literature just in case no one shows up. Also, tell them to attend the first possible meeting and exchange cabin numbers with other attendees. That way, they can create a support group right away and come up with meeting times and locations that are more suitable to their needs.

And I might add that the Friends of Bill W. meetings are listed in the Fun Times just to notify everyone of a meeting location. There generally won't be anyone there from Carnival to kick off the meeting. So definitely bring some support materials.
