Thatmom Posted April 26, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2005 Hi, Have any of you been on this one? what did you think? Is it worth $75.00's. How is the beach? I read they have floats. that is what I'm most interested in. I want to just float and lay in the sun. Thanks, Carla
Thatmom Posted May 22, 2005 Author #2 Share Posted May 22, 2005 Hi, I posted this along time ago. Maybe now someone can help me with an answer. I don't go on this cruise for almost a year. so I guess I'll just keep reposting until I find someone who has done this One. Thanks, Carla
cruiserkcs Posted May 31, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2005 Floats are provided & the water was very calm. Although, there is not much time left after snorkeling to float.
quiltsnh Posted May 31, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 31, 2005 We were in Belize in April and took a tour from http://www.belizerays.com it went to the barrier reef and then to Coral Sands Beach Club on Water Cay.... This is a first class operation with a beautiful catamaran and a great crew we paid 40.00 per person.. cowhip Posted June 6, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 6, 2005 We booked this excursion directly through Carnival. The tour is about 3 hours long. You board a large catamaran (seats about 40 people) which takes you about 30 mins to a island smaller than a football field. It IS beautiful....white sand and clear crystal blue water! They also require that anyone in the water wear a flotation vest (even if you just want to swim and not snorkel). On the island they offer free water and punch and there are Belizeans selling beer, snacks, trinkets and t-shirts. On the boat the offer free soft drinks and water. There is a photographer that will take your picture on the way out and then will sell them for $12 on the way back. Key point.....there are only a few palm trees on the island---so if you want shade with your beach mattress, I'd suggest you be one of the first people off the boat. :)
myownjustice Posted June 6, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 6, 2005 I have done the excursion from the boat two years ago and having nothing to compare to thought it was ok. But now I have done an excursion with Coral Breeze and there is no comparison. Coral Breeze reef/shark and stringray snorkel was amazing. The keep the groups small and show everyone a great time. It is about 5 to 6 hours long, they serve you lunch on Caye Caulker Island all for around $50.00. Ask for Hieni and Tony as guides, they made me and my family want to live there. Hope you have fun with whomever you choose. Its hard to have a bad time in Paradise.
OCruisers Posted June 6, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 6, 2005 These questions may seem silly ... but would love to know! Are there ENOUGH Floats for everyone? Is the Rum Punch good? :D Happy Sailing! OCruisers :)
cowhip Posted June 7, 2005 #8 Share Posted June 7, 2005 Yes! For the floats you wear like a lifevest...yes there were enough for everyone. For the air mattresses you lay on...there were not enough for all the people. The rum was average!
