Sea-Airport Choice?

I am considering a family cruise for this x-mas on the Sea. Houston has 2 airports; IAH and HOU. Which is better for the port? What are transportation options/costs from either? We are a group of at least 6 in at least 3 cabins.

We live in Houston so can easily answer this question. Hobby Airport (HOU) would be much easier. I don't know costs for transportation, etc...I do know time to terminal will be about 1/2 from this airport vs IAH. However, few airlines fly in to Hobby - Southwest, Air Tran, and a few Delta and Am Eagle flights. If you can get SWA or Air Tran it's a great deal because their air fare is typically much better!

Good luck!

Marvholly - I replied to your post on cruisemates but I will copy it here, too.

We are flying into IAH. NCL has a shuttle from IAH to the pier, but not from Hobby. What we are doing is renting a car from Enterprise at the airport and driving to the port. It is about a 50 minute drive. If you ask Enterprise for the special NCL price from the airport to Seaport they waive the drop-off fee. I'm sure they would do the same for a van. Seaport is about 5 miles from the pier, and then Enterprise can give you a ride to the ship. Here is their website: http://www.enterprise.com/car_rental/deeplinkmap.do?emailsignup=y The phone number is 1-800-RENT-A-CAR. We are paying about $35. total for the 4 of us, versus $20. each way for each person if we use the NCL shuttle. Good luck!
