AjaxCruiser Posted April 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2012 We are leaving on the Valor on April 21. The upsell fairy just called and asked if we want to move to a grand suite on the empress deck from our current balcony on the spa deck. It would cost $800 total. DH is going to call back and see if he can get it for less. We are cruising with out 6 year old twins to celebrate DH's 40th birthday. Ooooh, a suite would be nice but I'm not sure it's worth $800! B40 Tha Cruisa Posted April 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2012 That would be AWESOME! I hope you get it, maybe $500 would do it?
Chasey Posted April 12, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2012 For $800 I would have laughed. Hopefully you'll get the suite and at a better price. ;)
Bunkie103 Posted April 12, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2012 Think of all the things you could do with $800.;)
Irishlinny Posted April 12, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2012 I got a similar offer last year to go from my bowling alley balcony to a GS for $900:rolleyes: I told her that $900 buys a whole lot of drinks...she said we could drink when we got home:rolleyes: Yeah, right... Good luck getting it for less!
golfadj Posted April 12, 2012 #6 Share Posted April 12, 2012 $ 800 pays for a lot of our next cruise. Would be nice to experience but not at that price.
Mulege Posted April 12, 2012 #7 Share Posted April 12, 2012 Carnival suites are no big deal. Don't let the word "suites" entice you. All you are getting is a bigger room and a few extra benefits. Not comparable at all to NCL or Celebrity. Use the money for other expenses and enjoy.
