Unable to go

Not sure what to do.....

I booked a "ES" cruise for 3 to a room for July 2012.

It's a 4 day cruise.

I still have some to pay on it.

Now 1 of the people in the room may not be able to go.

Can anyone help me and tell me what my options are?

I'm the one paying for the whole thing and would like to

know if there is anyway I can save some of the money

or at least book someone else for that spot.

You cannot book someone else for that spot. You need to cancel the 3rd party and you will receive your deposit back, minus $50 in the form of an OBC for a future cruise. If you can prove that you paid the deposit the credit will be held in your name.

Your PVP or who ever booked it is the best person. BUT in my experience.... If you booked all three and 1/3 isn't going - Did you buy the insurance?

if yes then you can change to a 2 person room and get money back

if no then you can still cancel the 3rd person (lose $50 and then basically they hang on to what you have paid until you book your next cruise) and change to a 2 person room.

 

I am probably not explaining it the best but hope this helps.

Just to add, you need to make sure #3 is definitely not going and cancel ASAP. You're getting very close to the timeframe where you'll lose more than 50 bucks. Refer to Carnival's FAQ page for cancellation policy.
