Thanks Heidi! I found the Facebook pages. Now just to catch up...lol! I'm soooo looking forward to this cruise and meeting everyone. We had to get a hotel near the airport too because everything was booked up near Bayside that was affordable. I will check to see when and where the meet & greets are in relation to our arrival time in Miami to see if we can join everyone.

Howdy, all'

Some of you folk's may or may not be aware of this program- Match Play

When we were on the Miracle last Sept, I found out about this, you purchase a Classic Cocktail, for about $8.00,or $9.00, you get your receipt, and bring it to the Casino Cashier, they will give you a token for $5.00, it is only good on the tables, sorry not for slot's.

"Classic Cocktails" listed on the bar menus are "Long Island Ice Tea", "The Cruiser", "The Ultimate Margarita", "Mai Tai", "Mojito", and "Sex on the Beach".

Hope this help's those who like the tables ;)

My husband has taken advantage of the match plays on our last 2 cruises. I love the Mojitos so he saves my receipts.

Michelle, what time are you arriving in Miami. We get in around 1:30. We are staying at the IC. It's not really affordable but I hope we have a view of the ships.

See you in Miami.

Bummer! I just checked our flight time, and we don't get into Miami until 7:30 pm. We are staying near the airport. Are there any pre-cruise meet & greets that we will be able to attend? We don't mind taking a taxi to Bayside...

The M&G that Ryan has put together at Bayside starts at 7:30. There may be a few still there late but we will probably crash early. The dinner that Heidi has put together near the airport may work for you but they are meeting between 7:30 & 8.

We have been on the dream before, and the AFT pool is actually a great place to meet! What's up with the white elephant exchange??

Bring one gift per cabin around $10 USD. We will draw numbers, the first number will then pick a gift from the pile. The next one will have a chance to pick a gift or steal from one that is play. if a Gift has been stolen 3 times then you cannot steal it again. We usually bring something that represents our State, City or region. I've brought t-shirts from work that have Fighter jets on them, Harley-Davidson stuff with Fort Worth on it, stuff like that. It's a fun way to meet each other and to break the ice.

I believe that Heidi has a late dinner/meet & greet set up, I'm not quite sure of the information on that one, I just believe that it's set for 8pm. I have an early dinner/meet & greet set up for 7:00 at bayside marketplace. If anyone needs more information please contact Heidi (if you want to attend the later dinner) or myself Ryan Breidel (if you want to attend the earlier dinner). Also, please do not feel as if you're obligated to attend. I know several of the people in my group are doing dinner on their own, which is totally cool.:D

Thanks Chris! I also posted a question on the Carnival board asking what the aft lido pool and bar area was like on the Breeze and it sounds like that will be the place to meet for sail away. So we will meet at the Tides bar/pool (Lido deck/aft). I know at lot of us already know each other but maybe we should wear Mardi Gras beads for the new people. I have them here at home but if you don't have any you can by them cheap at any party store or in the party section of stores like Walmart.

Hi cruisers.

I'm not on this year's sailing but I'm thinking of booking the

same cruise next year.

I was wondering if this was a yearly thing for you all. If so, how can I find more more info?

Hi Disney Junkie. We normally cruise as a group every other year. Also, Cruise Critic has done away with sponsoring groups. Ours is the last so unless they reinstate the program, this will be the last "Official" Cruise Critic group cruise. BUT, since we are a fairly well established group (this is Cupid's IV), we may cruise as a group again in the future, but on our own. We are going to be discussing our next group cruise while we are on board so keep an eye on this thread after we get back. Cruise Critic will eventually close this thread but they won't do it right away.

Sooooo exhausted. I picked up a shift tonight because I requested tomorrow night off. Now I remember why I quit working Saturday nights.

Rest up, less than 3 weeks to go.

I stopped working OT a year ago. Like my weekends off. I call it pre-retirement mode.

Today, I went to listen to DGD, Erin, perform in the Regional Symphony Orchestra. They were real good.

Tomorrow, it will get into the 70s here. Then Monday we will dip back down into the 20s. I'm ready for this cruise.

We can only dream of temperatures in the 70's! Our HIGH temperatures on Monday AND Tuesday are supposed to be -4°! (That's during the day, of course it gets much colder at night - brrrrrr!)

We are SO glad we booked a cruise to somewhere warm! Less than three weeks!

I've designed a Cupid/Newpids magnet that I'll bring along to the first meet and greet. They are about 4” x 6" and include our dates, itinerary and, of course, a Cupid in a porthole. Let me know if you want one, so I have an idea of about how many to bring along. Even if the cabin doors won't hold a magnet, we can put them on the walls. With an inside cabin, it will be the only "window" we'll have ;-)

Are there any other Trivia players out there? Looking at the sample programs I've seen on line, it looks like there will be a lot of opportunities to play.

Count me in for the white elephant exchange. I'd love to participate in the cabin crawl too, but I don't know if I can convince DH to open up our cabin.

Looking forward to putting faces on all of you. We'll see you soon!

Right I'd be happy with temps in the 30's. We too are supposed to stay in the negatives on Monday and Tuesday.

I would like a magnet. Thanks for doing that. It's really difficult to say how many cabins. We have 8 cabins in our group and then theres Ryan's group plus other's just like you who are posting to the roll call but not a group.

We like to play trivia. We did that quote a bit on the last Cupid's cruise. That was the first time we had ever done it.

Have a good day. :)

Heidi, thanks for setting up the meet and greets. Marked them down.

I had to work nights Friday night. I got home yesterday at 9 AM and took a nap for about 3 hours, but I wasn't worth anything all day. However, while working I did down load all of my docs, so that is done.

I also went ahead and made reservations for the steakhouse. We had been going back and forth on whether to go or not. I read a review that said they tried to reserve the steakhouse once on board, but it was booked solid for the whole week. So I went ahead and reserved the night we are in Grand Turk. If the menus stay the same that would be the night I wouldn't mind missing the main dining room. If we decide when we get on board not to go I will call and cancel the reservation.

3 weeks from today we will be enjoying our first sea day. :D Getting more and more excited.

Hi

This is our 5th cruise and my first ever post about cruising.

The excursions in La Romania are too random and stressful , should we get the drink package on the ship? Why do all the desserts on Lido taste like blah..

We have kids 11,15,and 17

Actually I could use a drink package in my living room...

Hoping to have fun !!!!
