yenta Posted April 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2012 Does anyone know if the 747 to the airport stops anywhere near the cruise terminal? It sounds a lot less expensive than a taxi
p_mori7 Posted April 14, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2012 The 747 bus will take you from the airport all the way to the Central Bus Terminal in downtown Montreal. Close but no cigar. From the Bus Terminal, you can hop on the subway (Metro) at the "Berri-UQAM" station, and take the metro to the "Place d'Armes" station. The pier is then is walking distance...BUT...still quite a ways (about 1 mile). You could also hire a cab from the Bus Terminal to the pier. Cost will be $10-$15 depending on traffic. A cab from the airport straight to the pier would be about $40 ~ $45 The fare for the #747 is $8.00 p/p (exact change only), and would include the transfer to the subway (don't forget to ask for a transfer ticket). Ephraim Posted April 14, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2012 Sort of, but you can easily take two buses, see http://g.co/maps/vst9g for a map showing which two buses (747 and the 715) The other two options are this... Take the 747 to René-Lévesque / Saint-Laurent Stop ID: 52782 and then walk the 1.2km (about 15 to 20 minutes) or flag a taxi from there to the port. That the 747 to the Berri Central Bus Station and take a taxi from there. Either one will save you money. The taxi from the airport is $40 flat. The bus is $8, even if you have to transfer.
