saraNOVA Posted April 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2012 We're docking in Nice on our cruise this May (May 26) and were debating taking the cruise-sponsored tour to Cannes or doing our own tour of Monte Carlo. We are more interested in seeing Monte Carlo, but are nervous about how easy it will be to navigate getting to Monte Carlo and back by train. Our ship is docked 7am - 6pm. Does anyone know if trains or busses run frequently between Nice and Monte Carlo and how easy it will be to get back and forth between the two cities? It should take about 30 minutes from Nice. Just google the train station closest to where you'll be docked. The train station to the Palace is a short enjoyable walk with lots to see. It was our first visit and we had no problems getting there. Get to the Palace before noon to see the changing of the guards.
