Adults blocking kids view

The best view I ever had of fireworks and parades at the parks was on a trip with a friend who needs a wheelchair. They allow immediate family into the chair area (there were only the two of us.) At the parks the areas are reserved' date=' monitored by a CM, and are excellent. On the ships there is a monitored wheelchair area, but the view is just "so-so." About all that is accomplished is that other people can't trample those in chairs.

The other great time was when there was a huge rain and the fireworks were delayed. The sky cleared and the display took place...but by then most guests had given up--great for those who stuck it out.[/quote']

It seems some wealthy mommys out of NYC RENT handicap peoples to "escort" their family to trips to WDW. That way they get preference in lines etc. A shark from Fla. sets up the "service"......how low will some go? IMO THAT is pretty despicable..........

On most boards I go by BigMac. I got this "handle" from my >2 year old daughter who was calling me Big Fat Daddy

I have since lost alot of weight but I am still a fairly big guy. I'm the kind of guy that pretty much fills up a doorway.

Because I am such a big person. I automatically position my wife and daughter in front of me for this type of stuff. When little kids show up I regularly offer to put them all the way up front so they can see... Inconsiderate people are a peave of mine. I wont be that guy.

Wow....my friend is legit handicapped. She can walk short distances with braces and crutches, but that's basically around her house only. Needs HA shower, toilet, etc. NOT one of those who rents a scooter just to get special seating.

Yes it is people like your friend that the system has been set up to help. It only takes a few to ruin a lot. I hope your friend has an easier time in her daily life and trips and never run into these cheaters.:)

I saw the same thing on our cruise during sail away and the pirate show. I just could not understand why the cruise director could not just make an announcement asking everyone to sit down on the ground so people can see. But for some reason during the Buccaneers party, everyone in front of the stage did sit down and I don't think anyone had a problem seeing. I don't know if there was an announcement that I missed or they just did in on their own, but it was great. :)

Well, because the sail away is a dance party? It's sorta hard to do that with your butt on the ground. Most of the pirate show is also a dance party, with just the very end where Mickey does the zipline being an actual "show", and then the fireworks are up in the sky, so kiddos in the crowd will be able to see them anyway?

The DCL "shows" on deck are more deck parties than actual shows, they're intended for audience participation and families dancing, not intended to just sit and watch.
