Cheapest Beer In Cozumel

Okay, I'm from South Texas and the beer has even gone up in the border towns. Are the days of the $1US Beer over? Where did you find the cheapest beer in Cozumel?

There are several spots between Punta Langosta and Downtown that have $1 beers. Not sure of any places close to the Southern piers.

Our favorite beer when in Cozumel (and here, too, for that matter) is Sol and it's relatively inexpensive.

I agree with ScubaMare--

 

I always drink Sol at Chakanaab, at the little open-air restaurant... in my opinion, it tastes a lot like Corona, though I cannot recall the price.

Sol is the best but I have never seen it on the street for $1- Usually it's Corona which to me tastes nothing like Sol- I can't even drink it. You can go to the grocery store and get any beer cheaper than $1 but they probably won't stay cold long - walking around.

I'm with you Jacqi. To me, Corona has a sort of "skunky" taste if you put it in a "head to head" taste test with Sol. Sol just seems lighter, smoother, and a bit more refreshing. No bitter beer face. HA!
