keystonegirl Posted April 29, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2005 We want to take a tubing excursion, but the ones offered through NCL say you have to be at least 12 yrs old or weigh 95lbs. We have an 11year old that weighs 65 lbs..............does anyone know of a tubing excursion without an age or weight limit???

X-treme Cave Tubing with www.belizecruiseexcursions.com (American-owned, private tour company) has a cave tubing excursion set up especially for kids. I believe their age requirement was 8 years old, but you will have to check. Oops, just checked and they take kids 5 years and up, accompanied by their parents. This is the link: http://www.belizecruiseexcursions.com/Belize_Kids_Cave_Tubing.htm My 17 yo daughter and I have booked through them (the adult one) for our excursion and they come highly recommended, both privately and on Cruise Critic. We will be there this Thursday, May 5th, look for my review on this site after we get back! ~ Steph
Orgirl69 Posted April 29, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2005 OK, just looked again and the kids cave tubing is $75/pp. BUT, the "adult" cave tubing is only $60/pp and their minimum age for that is 8 years old. Sorry. I do know that they require a 20% deposit. It does include drinks/lunch and transportation. Hope this helps!
keystonegirl Posted April 29, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted April 29, 2005 Thanks for the advice, I will check it out. We also have 2 that are 14 and 18, I would like for us to all go together, I just wonder how they would work that..........I would hate to pay that much for the "kid tour" and the others think it was lame. keystonegirl Posted April 29, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted April 29, 2005 Okay, I should have gone and read the website BEFORE submitting my last post. Children 8 and older can go on the adult tubing, so that sounds perfect for us. I guess we are good to go. I will be looking for your post when you return. Enjoy your trip!!! shrimp0 Posted April 29, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 29, 2005 We took our 6 year old son cave tubing with Wet And Wild. He had a great time. I talked to Marvin ahead of time and he said as long as we felt he could do it... it would be ok. They do have child sized tubes and life jackets. ( we had our own jacket).
