Possible to get to Cenote(s) from Cozumel ?

I just read a magazine article about the cenotes. I was looking to find a cruise that will give me enough time to spend a few hours there, just to swim, explore and relax.

I was wondering if either Costa Maya or Cozumel have access to cenotes. Some Carnival Cruises and Royal Caribbean cruises go to these ports, but it looks like only Carnival has a cenote dive as a shore excursion (and it looks to be about an 8-hour excursion).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yes, you can get to the cenotes from Cozumel. If you want to do it on your own, you take a taxi to the fiscal pier ($6 approx. one way), then the ferry to Playa del Carmen ($18 round trip) and then either a taxi ($20 approx. one way) or the bus (approx. $5 one way) to the cenotes. Dos Ojos is the most popular over there. From Costa Maya....yes you can but they are out in the middle of nowhere. More time to get to actually. And not much facilities around them. I would do the organized tour if I were you. Or contact a dive shop in Playa.
