singjenn Posted May 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2012 I have excursions booked for our July cruise. I am so afraid that I picked the wrong times, "although the cruise company says they check all of the times to make sure they are compatible." Here is my scenario: Belize: Arrive 8 AM ship time Our excursion meets at 7:30AM Belize time. If the ship stays on Florida time then when we will pull in Belize it will be 6 AM Belize time which gives us time to make the 7:30 AM Excursion time. I was thinking that on past cruises the ship time changed to be only one hour behind, instead of 2. We will be on Carnival if this makes any difference. I just want to double check on the time difference.
EthelnElmer Posted May 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2012 I was told that ships time would not change...Im on Carnival Legend so the 2 hour diffrence is correct....and also was told that the excursion companys keep a close eye on this because it is thier livelihood! ...so dont stress....relax and enjoy your trip! Katie Lou Posted May 4, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2012 I've always found that the tour companies know exactly when the ships get in. They will be there waiting for you. Don't worry!

Belize does not observe Daylight Savings time, so between March 11, 2012 and November 4, 2012, Belize will be 2 hours earlier than the ship's time, which is Eastern Daylight Savings Time, assuming you are on a Carnival ship leaving out of Florida. During the winter months, Belize will only be 1 hour earlier. Alan
