Jish Posted May 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2012 Okay, I just booked the Fascination last week for May 12 departure. I booked inside guarantee, I am a seasoned cruiser and have to problem with an inside cabin if that is all that I paid for . It is now 4 days out and we have not been assigned at cabin. Is this a good thing? The suspense is killing me, especially if I check in on Saturday and get a crappy inside cabin.
Rare Tapi Posted May 8, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2012 Is this a good thing? The suspense is killing me, especially if I check in on Saturday and get a crappy inside cabin. Look at the deck plans and find the crappiest cabin you can think of. If you're OK with it, you have nothing to worry about. At this point in time, anything can happen. Get ready for the worst, but expect the best! :) We've only done a handful of last minute guarantees. One time we got a porthole cabin on the Empress deck, one time we got an inside on the Main deck all the way forward, and another time we got an oceanview on the Riviera deck. (all but the porthole on the Empress deck were assigned at the port on embarkation day)

SkyMaster Posted May 8, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 8, 2012 I've found that the later the cabin is assigned, the better the chance of a GOOD upgrade. Hope that's true for you as well. "SKY"
