Rare MillbrookMom Posted May 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2012 We have never cruised Carnival, but I hear their staterooms are larger than the norm. We have only ever done interior rooms and are fine with them...quest is thought, the last time we put 4 in a room was a NCL cruise to Bermuda in 2009...our last cruise this past March was with RCL and we had 2 insides. Just curious if anyone has any photos of inside for 4? I've found a pic on travelocity...but it says it's a deluxe ocean view...are the insides for 4 set up similar? Or do the extra beds overhang the main bed?
RMLincoln Posted May 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2012 Which ship? I was on Spirit in an Inside room for 4 and it had 2 pullmans that came out of the ceiling. it had 4 closet wardrobes across from the bathroom. No couch. m--

rockbock Posted May 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 9, 2012 We cruised with five in a 185sf inside room on a Fantasy Class ship. This is the standard size for inside rooms on most Carnival ships. Your room would be set up similar to this one, except you wouldn't have the rollaway bed on the floor. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1498944 By the way, do NOT look at the Deluxe OV pics unless that is the type cabin you are interested in booking. Those rooms are only available on a few ships and they are 230sf with 2 bathrooms. I'll be in one of them this October :)

nlktx49 Posted May 9, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2012 Interior cabins are 185 sq ft, not 285.
rockbock Posted May 9, 2012 #8 Share Posted May 9, 2012 Interior cabins are 185 sq ft, not 285. I have no clue why I wrote that! I also bumped up the Deluxe OV square footage by 100 lol.
mpcaruth Posted May 9, 2012 #9 Share Posted May 9, 2012 On all the Carnival ships I have been on, the inside quads have the bunks over the main bed. The set up below is with the king bed, but you could separate the king bed into wo twins with a walkway in between. Porthole, Obstructed View, and French Door cabins also have the larger sofa bed set up for quad rooms. You can also get these special cabins cheaper than the OVs. Carnival Sensation inside cabin: The OV cabins are typically much larger and have the 3rd bed as a pull-out sofa, and the 4th as a bunk over the sofa. Much roomier. I only stayed in a true inside once and determined we were tired of bumping our heads on the bunks, so we pay a little extra for the OV set up.
