Cabin8538 Posted May 2, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2005 I was reading about taking shore excursions in ports of embarkation/debarkation. We were interested more in taking an excursion on embarkation day. Is this possible? Has anyone done the San Juan City Tour / Bacardi Distillery Tour on embarkation day for the Destiny? How do I find out how much the excursions really cost. . . not just the $, $$, $$$ on the website?
I&MsMom Posted May 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2005 We're not going until next week, but from what I understand, many people embark, maybe have lunch, and then get back off to sightsee. I'm not sure about the excursion through the ship, but I have read that it is a very inexpensive (maybe 50 cents...?) ferry ride and then a $3 or so cab ride to the factory. The ferry apparently leaves from very close to where the Destiny is docked. There is a thread here on the Bacardi Rum tour with more detailed information. I don't recall when the last tour is. HTH... Creole Girl Posted May 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2005 The tour through Carnival that you are speaking of is I believe $35-40 dollars. If it is the one at night. You can see the factory on your own for the cost that I&MsMoms said above.
