Experience in booking group cruises?

Recommended Posts

I am checking into booking a cruise for classmates in year 2007. When do schedules come out for year 2007? Any suggestions on how to book? There could be as many as 20+ cabins I will be reserving.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!:D

My experience has been that different cruise lines bring out their prices at different times of the year. I booked 16 rooms on a Royal Caribbean cruise 15 months before. That was in April of 2004. I booked 21 rooms in June of 2004 again on Royal Caribbean for a cruise in April of 2006. Travel agents are only allowed to discount group pricing now. I have always done well with my travel agent. Princess cruise lines tend to bring their prices out about 12 months before. That has been my experience anyway. Sorry can't tell you about others, i.e. Norwegian, Carnival, etc.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I suppose I need to call RC and ask what the policy is. Did you recieve a good price break with a group? Hoping to get a pretty good deal with multiple cabins. Thanks again!
