VA, I live in Richmond and have been on the Dawn twice. The first time we took the train and we drove last month. Parking was 168.00 for the week. We left VA on sunday and had no traffic. It was a great ride. The traffic was considerably heavier coming home, but not horrible. The train ride was nice and it was nice not having to drive home after the cruise. The transfer to and from the train station to the port was very easy. If it is just 2 of you and you can find the right price, take the train. We had friends drop us off in DC and then they dropped our vehicle off at the train station in Richmond on the day we returned. Hope this helps.
