susan is cruisin Posted May 2, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2005 I've been researching on the internet to find an inexpensive underwater camera with flash, but I can't seem to find a lot of information. Has anyone had a good experience with a camera for cavetubing? Thanks!!
davidaperryman Posted May 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2005 A flash will not help. The caves are too big. Just get a water proof camera to take pictures in the river. Someone in our group had a flash and none of the pictures turned out.
AlexC Posted May 3, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2005 My wife found a waterproof 35 mm camera with a flash on the internet for about $100. I used it cave tubbing and while it did not help with the overall pictures of the caves, it did allow me to get some of the detail.
cruzqueen Posted May 4, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 4, 2005 Ritz Cameras has the Sealife Sharkdiver reusable flash camera on sale for under $20. Refill cameras are on sale for under $10. I got mine for our snorkeling and cave tubing this weekend!
jaycee200 Posted May 5, 2005 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2005 It's true, the pictures we took INSIDE the cave didnt come out all that well, but the pictues of us floating outside the cave and during the hike and the group picture of everyone when we first got in the water... well, priceless! :) I'd recommend getting the FUJI Water Camera and taking that along. That's what we took, and those pics that had enough light turned out great! -Jill
