11acr Posted May 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2012 Hi, leaving May 27 on Star, any feedback on Casino staff? Names, good, Bad or not around. Thanks, Dennis
Pokeraddict Posted May 15, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2012 Really! Is it it going to help you win by knowing names of casino staff. Bet it's the first time this h question has been asked. You have probably more staff in the casino to keep track of seeing that they change up the table dealer's every 20/30 min.
11acr Posted May 15, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted May 15, 2012 manager, assistant manager make quite a difference, during your trip, end of journey benefits and future comps to some players. didn't mean entire pit personel, bartenders etc.
che5904 Posted May 15, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 15, 2012 Sorry I don't know who is on the Star now. A year ago the casino manager was very nice, friendly and helpful and the slot host was useless IMO. I don't remember their names, nor do I know if they are still on that ship. Pokeraddict Posted May 15, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2012 Never helped me any but then i didn't need it. Frankly I don't get all this throwing staff names about. They are all there to perform their duties and there fore tip according but I don't need to know who is where or when as it makes NO difference to my cruise experience. It's the people I cruise with that care about not the janitor or bathroom cleaners, hotel directors etc

deladypilot Posted May 16, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 16, 2012 I can not help you with the manager, asst mgr names, but last year (August) we were on the star. I do not gamble at all, but hubby does and I watched him play. One of the pitt bosses saw that I was puzzled by something and explained it all to me. Then asked if I wanted a drink and had one sent over. He filled me in on the times of classes and said even if I never played, it might be fun to learn. (never took him up on that though). However, the bartender was wonderful. Andre was his name. We were in Alaska last year and on the first night the casino was not open so he was in the Beir Garden up top. He asked what I wanted to drink. I said something fruity and different. He mixed up something that was great. I asked what it was called and he said "Kathys drink". He already had my name down. After that I went to the casino often to get my "Kathy" drink. I think that is what makes cruising so much fun. The ships people treat you like you are something special and make your vacation one to remember. Have fun in the casino or what ever else you decide to do.
