Transportation to turtle farm

I understand there's a free shuttle to the turtle farm (I've bought tickets for Boatswain's online). Has anyone used this transportation? Mainly wondering where I will find it in the port area.

 

Figure we'll take it there in the morning, then get a taxi back since the return times are a bit early for us.

Once you arrive at the terminal, there will be big banners that tell you where each excursion should meet. You will look for the "Turtle Farm Excursion" banner and wait there under the banner for your shuttle. You will be boarding the same shuttle buses and commingled with your fellow cruisers who booked through the cruise line.

You go with the regular ship tour, as mentioned. In our case, the ship tours were running about 45 minutes late so we took a shared taxi. It cost us I think $16 one way for two people.

 

We took the public bus ($2.50pp) back to the port.

there are also buses that run i think every 10 mins and it cost $2 !!! hope that helps

They sort of run on island time, but are frequent. $2 Cayman or $2.50 US.

 

The bus depot is near the library.

That's great, thanks. We did the buses in January 2012 so will probably do that on the way back.

Glad to know both will be easy to find.

We took a taxi to the farm. I felt bad at first because it seemed too expensive, but the driver got us a deal on the tickets to the turtle farm that saved us more than the cab fare.

 

I see you said you already got the tickets. Did you get them at a discount? We are going again in October and are thinking of doing this again, along with the Stingray City Quest and 7 mile beach.

We bought tickets online (for the turtle farm and Boatswain's), think its cheaper if you just want the turtle farm. But we got a 20% discount for booking early so it was $72 for 2 adults for the entire park instead of $90.
