Montego Bay to Rick's Cafe in Negril

Anyone have any recommendations on how to do this and if we will have enough time arriving at 7am ship leaving at 3pm...? I've tried looking for excursions but can't find any. Does anyone know about how much we would pay for a cab of 4 adults? Thank you! :)

Not sure about the price, but Rick's Cafe will be about an hour and a half ride from Montego Bay. Negril is about an hour and 15 minutes and Rick's is another 10 or so minutes south of Negril. It's worth it. Fun place. I would pre-hire a driver for the day. This way you can be assured that you will have a ride both directions, and not have to count on catching a taxi. Not sure what time the locals start jumping from the trees, but that's super fun to watch. I've jumped myself and you can do that at any time. There's a pool right there at the bar as well, so take your suit!

You can go cliff diving there, and there's also a rope swing that's not quite as high a drop at the cliff diving.

 

However, the bar is just a bar. I went there when I was staying in Negril, so the 10-15 taxi ride was worth it. Would I trek 75 minutes to go to Rick's? I'm not sure.
