Stonecreek1 Posted May 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2012 hey I have a quick question, my wife and I are going on the Liberty in September. We currently are in a balcony room on level 6 right above the dance club. There are some rooms available on deck 7 or 8 for like $10 more. My question is how bad will the noise be, is it worth it to change rooms? We have been on cruises before but we are going with my inlaws and it is their first so I want everything to be perfect. BeccaBecca1713 Posted May 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2012 If you are a light sleeper I'd splurge on the extra 10 bucks. When I cruised Liberty in '07, I was on Deck 6 above the piano bar-ish area. Didn't hear anything. My brother was more midship Deck 6 right above the area where a musician would set up every night with his guitar and sing. He could hear it until the wee hours each night. Drove him nuts. roswellmom Posted May 20, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2012 I would never choose a cabin directly above or directly below the casino, dance floor or galley. There are several threads and websites where you can insert your cabin # and get info that you're looking for. We got stuck under a piece of equipment in the gym on one sailing and every 15 seconds from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm we enjoyed the sounds of weights hitting the floor.
