TrentS Posted May 13, 2005 #26 Share Posted May 13, 2005 Hmmm, apparently now it's called "Marriott senior discount"... I plugged some dates in just for the heck of it though and the AAA rate is much cheaper, but it may vary for your dates. I would try them both, and probably also call the hotel directly. That JW Marriott is a GREAT hotel and with some of the dates I plugged in for this summer it gave me a $125/night AAA rate. If you're a AAA member and can get it for that price it's an incredible bargain!!!... http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/miajw
russnleanne Posted May 13, 2005 #27 Share Posted May 13, 2005 Thanks Trent! We are going March 10 and the AAA rate is $138. So that is a great rate apparently! Is it easy to get a cab to the hotel from the airport for 4 people and luggage for 20  Leanne
TrentS Posted May 13, 2005 #28 Share Posted May 13, 2005 LOL, yeah... Taxis are quite plentiful, and they also have van taxis if you have THAT much luggage :) Yeah, that's a great price for the JW Marriott. It's a beautiful place!

KruznKel Posted May 14, 2005 #31 Share Posted May 14, 2005 I have booked the Holiday Inn Port of Miami for my pre and post cruise stay for next march,, just curious if I want to get a room looking at the bay I am assuming that I request a bayside room??? When I booked the other nite they were unable to assign rooms at that time.. I will have to call back later...
CoachNH Posted June 2, 2005 Author #32 Share Posted June 2, 2005 I called the Holiday Inn Port of Miami and asked about reserving a bay view room. They said if I had booked a suite, then they could guarantee a bay view room, but since I booked a normal room, they would put in the request, but did not guarantee me one. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. CoachNH

CoachNH I called them as well a few weeks ago and they put my name on a request list for a bayside room.. they said then when they start assigning rooms they will go thru the requests 1st... I guess I will find out when we get there next year!!! LOL :)
