New Orleans City Tour

I cruise in just 9 days!! We are flying in a day early and are considering a city tour. Anyone done one recently? Would you recommend it? There will be three of us (females) and we'd like to see the sights.

Thanks,

Shannon

You might want to ride all of the street car lines (three separate ones, I believe) to get a feel for the city and see which area you would be most interested in visiting. You can buy a day pass very cheaply. Of course, the French Quarter area always gets a lot of tourists, and the Garden District area has beautiful old homes and buildings, a huge park and zoo.

We drove to New Orleans on the morning of our cruise embarkation and did a 2-2.5 hour French Quarter walking tour and really enjoyed it.

We ate a light lunch at Napoleon House on the corner of St. Louis and Chartres afterwards. There were no lines when we checked in for the cruise at about 1:30.
