Hotel/car options in Port Canaveral

I'm trying to plan a large family trip, and am brainstorming with transportation/hotel options for Port Canaveral. I'm toying with the idea of renting cars in Orlando, driving to PC and dropping off, then doing the same thing on the way back. The question I'm running into is if any rental companies are open on Sundays? We're looking at RCCL Mariner, which sails and returns on Sunday. The pre-cruise won't be an issue, since we'll fly in on Saturday.

Has anyone ever done this for a Sunday sailing? Which company did you use for your rental that was open both in PC and Orlando on Sunday? Alternately, would we be better off renting for 8 days and just doing a park & cruise package at the Radisson or somewhere?
