Tour Guides in ports

I am looking at taking a tour in Ocho Rios through a private company.

 

While reading reviews on trip advisor I noticed some complaining about having to tip tour guides at Dunns River Falls and other places.

 

IF I have this straight, the private tour company is not the same as the tour guides that take you through the Dunns river falls?

 

So are you supposed to tip them separately?

They expect a tip for leading you up the falls.

We tipped them all separately, I mean you are paying for the excursion already, you're just tipping them for your experience:D

Lots of folks will have their hand out including some guy taking pictures of you going up the falls.
