Single mum of POA - activities ?

My husband is no longer coming on our POA Hawaii cruise in August as we are getting divorced. I am easy going and can join in pub crawls, quizzes, karaoke etc - but does anyone know if there are there any meets or activities designed for singles whilst my teenagers are in the kids club ?

We have done this cruise on POA three times and from what we've seen this is not your normal cruise as it's quite port intensive and therefore people tend to go to bed earlier because usually the next day is an early start again to another long day.

It's an expensive cruise so most try to get the biggest bang for the buck that they can, therefore cram a lot into there day.

We have also found that a lot of the bars will close earlier than norm if not busy.

And there is no casino either.

You may want to go to your roll call for your cruise date and see if there is any activity

There certainly is no reason to limit your socializing to other singles....lots of married folks are nice to talk to, too.

While I agree with your later comment we didn't see a lot of single folks on this cruise and the last cruise in January we sailed with my mother in law who has been widowed for awhile, is quite attractive and not shy on meeting people or dating and didn't find a single the entire b2b cruise.

Hello Densol, First off let me say I'm sorry to hear about your divorce......(or maybe it's a blessing).........I also am going alone (adult wise, always do) My 12 year old son travels along, hubby stays home to take care of the animals. (his choice).........I had a dear friend who was traveling to, but has cancelled. I would absolutely LOVE.........to have someone to do things with. Sit & have a mai-tai, do activities, watch a show.....whatever. I sometimes don't have as much fun doing things alone, as I would with another person. I had a meet & greet set up, but not much responce to that, so I have opted out. Would love to have another body to chat with. We could meet up someplace. Cruise Critics is the best. Where else could someting like this be done. All of you have a great cruise. :D
