househunter Posted June 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2012 All of the beaches in Mexico are public. Most resorts do not let you use their beach chairs at least in Cabo unless you are a guest. That said, the main beach in Cabo, Medano Beach is lined with beach bars and restaurants that all allow you to use the lounge chairs and umbrellas for free as long as you are buying food and drinks. Just walk along the beach and pick the one that looks best for you! The one exception is the ME resort right in the middle of the beach. They do charge a fee between $30-$75 pp which goes toward your bill at the end of the day depending on how busy they are. The resort is beautiful but the food and drinks are over priced and mediocore and it is a South Beach, bikini and heels type place.
adventuregrrl Posted June 13, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2012 What are the best resorts to check out for a beach day Thanks Hi there -- we had a great day in Cabo last year at the Dreams Resort. It was all-inclusive from 9am -5pm for $59 per adult. The drinks and food were good and the view was awesome. E-mail the concierge through Dreams Resort Cabo's web site and see if they have space on your day. Dreams Resort is about 15 minutes away from the cruise port and the cab costs $25 USD, and is well worth it. If you're interested, our pictures from our day at Dreams Resort Cabo are posted at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pierham...98601341/show/ It was a great way to spend the day...in beach chairs, drinking tequila sunrises. Ine Posted September 1, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 1, 2012 The Krystal Hotel - not too far from the cruiseterminal - let you use their beach and pool if you show your cruise-card. Otherwise you will find various restaurants right at the beach in the old town Vallarta on Playa los Muertos, they offer their chairs etc. if you buy food and drinks. Take a cab or or bus to get there. Also Dreams Puerto Vallarta and Hotel los Arcos offers day-passes. Check this board and you will find various answers about this. swedish weave Posted September 2, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 2, 2012 The Sea Monkey on the beach in Old Town PV is not a hotel, but they have tables and chairs on the beach and if you partake in their one dollar beer or margaritas, you can sit there.
