long-bow Posted June 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2012 Flying to JAX on 7/28. Will need round trip ground transport for 2 adults and a child. Do you recommend Carnival's transfer service or is there something better? Have never used cruise line transfers, do not know what to expect (long waits, crowded, etc.) Thank you

mdavisatl7 Posted July 3, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 3, 2012 You have at least 5 options that are based at the airport and they do not require advance payment before your arrival in JAX. 1. The Carnival Shuttle is $15pp each way. It is a tour bus and you must wait until they get a bus load before they leave. 2. The taxi seats 4 - 6. They run on the meter. The price is about $35 if they take the short route, a lot more if they take the long route. 3. The GO shuttle $15 for single, $31 for 3, $80 for van load of 10. 4. GO Town Car that can take up to 4 with small luggage for flat rate of $35. 5. Which I used and think is the best is to call Rick at 904-616-3598. Besides charging the flat rate of $35 for up to 4 people in his late model Town Car, he has room in his trunk for large luggage and is willing to let you go shopping at Walmart or stores along the way for those items you couldn't carry on the plane that is allowed on the ship at no additional cost. If you are going to use him, call well in advance because he is popular. Mike D
