I just rented a car for our December cruise, and the price is 1/3 of the price of our Budget reservation, They also provide a free shuttle to the port.

I guess it all depends on your dates, additional discounts when you booked, and the type of vehicle. We were able to rent an economy car for $16 for our trip in December.

Thanks for posting. I guess I got a great rate (and have Platinum with Sixt) as the daily rates are up (for the same category of car). I've foudn the U.S. majors (Sixt is German) to be expensive for November. Always pays tro check just in case rates do drop.

It sounds like Sixt is a reliable company. They came up with the cheapest rate for our Dec cruise. We will be renting in MIA and returning to FLL. I have never heard of this company, but I think I am going to give them a try. If anyone has had any experience with them, please feel free to share. TY
